More Elves

Since some of you liked the other elves so much I asked Chuck if i could post a few more, and voila here they are in the three different stages. Just like the last elves these designs were also not chosen, but still fun designs. The initial rough was drawn by Chuck Gammage, the final line drawing, and ink and paint was finished by myself.

Class of '95 and FanExpo 2006

A long time ago, (what seems like a lifetime away) I graduated from the Classical Animation Program, at Sheridan College, in Oakville. My graduating class included many, many talented people, and I just wanted to point out that I have been compiling a list of all the classmates from my year, in my links section on the right. Don't take my word for it , click around and see for yourself !

I also wanted to mention that this weekend is Fan Expo at the Toronto Convention Center. One of the artists to be appearing is Blair Kitchen, who is debuting his very first comic "The Possum", a fantastic 72 pages of goodness. Hats off to Blair for his hard work and dedication, and congratulations on making such a sweet looking debut issue!

Possum Press website

Blair's blogsite with lots of rough drawings from the comic, and sneak peek pages.

Crazy Elves

These elf drawings were done for Chuck Gammage Animation, for a commercial pitch. Unfortunately I don't have a scan of the rough drawing. The clean drawing shown here was drawn by me, as well as the ink and paint.

Down in the 416

Unfortunately I left my usual thursday night posting til this morning, only to wake up and find that a huge part of the internet and some phone lines were down in the 416 area code. So finally I am able to post some words but can't seem to get wonderful blogger to accept my pictures. Stay tuned kiddies !

Scribble Scribble

New stuff ! Well more doodles and scribbles, and no new finished niceties, but new content nontheless. I find I have so many new ideas popping into my head, that the only way I can make room for anything new is to clean house. So many of these like I said were done in a minute or so when I was on break or bored during class. Like I said nothing finished or nailed down but just ideas.

Tony the Tiger - from rough to final colour

These are the rest of the drawings from the Tony the Tiger print ad work. Once again the original drawings were by Trevor Deane-Freeman, with the final clean line drawings drawn by myself , and I believe Ray Pang was in charge of all the shadows and highlights. All work shown here was done for Chuck Gammage Animation. Also check out the previous post below , which has been updated to include the initial rough drawings along with the final clean line drawings.

Business Man

Some of you may or may not know that I am currently taking a business program, so I can officially run my own small studio. Although I really like the classes , sometimes I get sidetracked and start doodling ideas that are floating in my head. Like the successful salesman, for instance, posted here is just a random doodle I did in class to amuse myself. I really love this lined yellow paper.

Tony the Tiger Print Ads

Some posts of old Tony the Tiger that I cleaned up for Chuck Gammage Animation back in July. The original drawings were drawn by Trevor Deane-Freeman, who is very talented. To check out his blog, simply click on his name, or use the link I've added over on the right >>
In a couple of days I will post the rough drawings as well as my final clean line drawings .

Life Drawings

I was on a mission to find some old designs , when I came across these old life drawings. Not even sure what year this was but I am thinking it was during my time at Walt Disney Animation Canada.

Back Again

A couple of old sketches of a blue dog , from years ago when I was thinking of a dog and cat buddy show. The sketches are really rough and unfinished but I think you'll get the idea.
